Rev Ink Merch May 2020 Update
Well I made it through April and still healthy. The shop is still open and shipping out the orders I have been fortunate to receive. I have been getting a lot of contact if I am open. I am open and able to print! Almost every distributor of blank garments, paper and and supplies is shipping. Since we built a shop on our property I am able to stay open with our state and county guidelines. I can't thank everyone enough who has made a print order, ordered from the shop store and our Discogs records page. Its because of my loyal and new customers I made it another month!
Since the mandatory stay at home orders started the site has had a major update an put up 3 Strange Blog Club blog interviews. I will be posting an announcement this friday May 8th about a super cool collaboration print and new interview the following week. A huge thank you to Tim Kerr, Kevin Seconds and Matt K. Shrugg for their interviews. It has been awesome getting back interviews and getting responses back for future ones. For those who don't know this is a series I am doing to help celebrate 20 years in business of printing and record label. I am documenting people who have inspired me from when I got into punk, art, skateboarding, doing things yourself, and more at ten years old up til now spanning over 35 years. I will be continuing to add stuff on here so check back often. Hope everyone is well during this insane time and please sign our mailing list or drop a line-Brian
Rev Ink Merch Update April 2020
Hope everyone is heathy and safe! My family like many others are doing our doing best to stay positive and healthy during these uncertain times. As some of you know Rev Ink Merch is just me, a one person shop that I run out of a building on my property next to my home. We are super fortunate to be able to still operate normally with printing and shipping. We have been hit financially like many others due to State Mandated State of Emergency rules. My only concern is that people stay healthy and we get to move on as quick as we can. We are scraping to get by and super thankful for the orders we do receive. Spirits are not crushed and have working on other projects and some I am super excited to share in this update. As you can see a major update to the website for starters that I have been working on. You now can look up product with some garment catalogues. Also a way to pay for your printed orders through the site. I know my customers will be stoked about that instead of calling me (which is fine to) and can do this after hours. We have added a shop merchandise store with tees and records I have released. One of the new designs is the Rev Ink Merch "Shopzilla" Tee designed by Matt K. Shrugg and can also be seen in the online layout. Also New and Used Records available from my Discogs store. That I update frequently. Updated photos and the one I am most excited about a new Blog entitled "Strange Club Blog"
This year I am celebrating my 20th year of being in business for myself and wanted to do fun things to document this. I also wanted to share what got me into music, art, design, skateboarding, etc. While brainstorming I came up with an idea of wanting to interview people who inspired me do so from an early age until now. I made a list about a week ago and started emailing people from the list. I was completely humbled when people said they loved the idea and said yes to the interview. In a weeks time I have gotten back 6 interviews from people I have hit up and I haven't even started emailing the entire list yet. I was completely just blown away by the support that I just started diving into the interview questions. So next week I will be unveiling interviews. Probably unveiling one interview every couple weeks maybe bi weekly or maybe monthly depending on how long it takes to do the blog layout. Here are some of the confirmed interviews!!!!
Tim Kerr of The Big Boys,Poison 13 and artist, Matt K. Shrugg an amazing local Sacramento musician and artist whose band list will blow you away, Kevin Seconds of 7 Seconds and artist, Big Frank Harrison of Nemesis Records,Tattoo Artist and Stage Manager for all those crazy legendary Goldenvoice 80's shows, Johnny "Peebucks" Bonnel of Swingin Utters and artist, Dave Bergthold of Blockhead Skateboards and artist and more to come!!!
Thanks again for reading this. Thanks so much for your support and send me a message I miss a ton of you!!!-Brian
